The PA process atomizes titanium wire with three inert plasma jets.
The process generates highly spherical powders, with a size of around 200 micrometers maximum. (Usually powder sizes are classified as “particle size distribution” or PSD; these come in various categories like 0-25 µm, 0-45 µm, 10-45 µm, etcetera. PA powder can be as small as 0-25 µm PSD).
Also, the resulting material is very pure.
CP, 6-4, and other alloys can be produced.
